When Landscape Concepts arrived at this property the backyard was sloped in two directions with no level yard space what-so-ever and the existing wood deck was rotted and falling apart.
The homeowners’ priorities for the project were to have a level area where a child’s playset could be placed, the removal of the dilapidated deck and installation of a new paver patio, as well as some plantings throughout the yard to tie everything together. Once a design was finalized our crew went to work to transform their backyard from a semi-non functioning backyard into defined areas for entertaining and play by leveling the yard with terracing and building a series of segmental retaining walls, a paver patio, play set, and new plantings were installed.
Landscape Concepts removed the old deck and installed a set of stairs into the home, leveled out the side of the yard to incorporate a raised curved patio as well as a level play space for the children’s playset. Materials used for this patio include 6” Versa-Lok Mosaic wall stone in Timberwood Blend and the patio is constructed using a Venetian Stone 4 size pattern in Earthblend color.
As you can see we used multiple terraces of segmental retaining walls in order to achieve the level space that the homeowner was looking for in order to have a more functional backyard. Materials used in the retaining wall system include 6” Versa-Lok Mosaic wall blocks in Timberwood Blend color.
